Mental Health First Aid

Did you know:
  •  Mental illness is the #1 cause of disability in the Canadian Workplace
  • $51 billion is lost in productivity each year due to mental illness
  • One in four Canadians will experience a mental health problem every year
  • The stigma associa
ted with mental health hinders employees from seeking help

This evidence based two-day training is a proactive step towards building a psychologically healthy and safe workplace.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trained individuals will be equipped to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and provide help to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis, including those related to substance use. The course will also work on reducing the stigma around mental illness and create mental wellness within the workplace. Participants receive a handbook, a MHFA Certificate.
